Project Description

The Rosebud Capacity Building project supports the Rosebud Economic Development Committee by increasing economic, educational, cultural, and social sustainability in Rosebud and the surrounding area. Comprised of 12 community organizations, the committee is a unique concept in rural Alberta. It will act as a single coordinating body for the fundraising and planning needs of local residents, businesses, and organizations.

Expected Outcomes and Benefits

All projects go through a selection process to ensure they will improve the quality of life for Albertans. This project meets this objective through the following outcomes and benefits:

  • Improve community planning for residential and commercial services
  • Establish, expand, and retain local businesses
  • Increase tourism and employment opportunities
  • Provide access to high-speed wireless Internet in the community
  • Increase self-sufficiency by pooling resources with area groups
