Project Description

Rural Road Show - Phase 2 will create opportunities for rural and agricultural communities to connect, collaborate and learn. This project will design and implement scalable models of delivery that address current barriers to entry or use by developing tools and resources enabling existing infrastructure to work more effectively and sustainably. To channel ideas, resources and programs and link organizations and people from all sectors of agriculture and rural Alberta, three integrated distribution models are being developed: the Six Degrees Database, the Practice Pitch and Building Blocks for Business.

Expected Outcomes and Benefits

All projects go through a selection process to ensure they will improve the quality of life for Albertans. This project meets this objective through the following outcomes and benefits:

  • Effective distribution channels open door for more opportunities and services to flow into rural areas
  • Six Degrees Database will provide government, academia and agriculture-focused organizations with data to shape and influence Alberta's future agriculture industry
  • Distribution channels allow for programs to be built with more depth, rather than simply breadth, minimizing the need to recreate programs and enhancing resource allocation
