RADF Board Member Jann Beeston honoured at 2009 Stars of Alberta Awards

Rural Alberta's Development Fund board member Jann Beeston was one of eight Albertans honoured for their contributions to their communities as part of the 2009 Stars of Alberta Awards. Beeston serves as RADF's Program Committee Chair and is also the current chair of the volunteer association in her hometown of Hanna. In addition, she participates in the Alberta Non-Profit Voluntary Sector Initiative (ANVSI) Collaboration Committee.
Beeston was nominated for the Stars of Alberta Award in recognition of her leadership in Alberta's non-profit sector and her 30 years of dedication to volunteerism in Alberta. She has served on boards for numerous organizations in Hanna and across Alberta. With her involvement, organizations and individual volunteers in Hanna have experienced an evolution of improved efficiency.
The awards, presented on December 4 2009, are tied to the annual International Volunteer Day which is celebrated annually on December 5.
